K-8 Advanced STEM Playbook

STEM school models emphasize a cohesive, interdisciplinary approach to developing students’ critical thinking and problem- solving skills with real-world application to prepare them for the demands of the modern workforce. Schools that adopt this model prioritize hands-on learning through cross-curricular experiences that incorporate design-based thinking. This model can be applied at all grade levels (PreK-12) and in rural and urban contexts. Read the playbook to learn more about how this model may be particularly beneficial in communities where interest and/or enrollment in postsecondary education has historically been low and/or where there are high-wage, high-skill, and in-demand roles that are going unfilled due to a lack of qualified candidates.
